November: Digital Public Infrastructure Takes Center Stage

Global DPI Summit

November 4-6 | Cape Town, South Africa

The Global DPI Summit in Cape Town is a cornerstone event for us. As a recognized Digital Public Good and a building block for DPI, OpenFn plays a critical role in helping governments build the data exchange infrastructure they need to deliver digital services to their citizens. This summit brings together government leaders, DPI architects, and technology providers working to create interoperable, scalable public infrastructure.

We'll be discussing how OpenFn supports government DPI strategies, enables standards compliance (from FHIR in healthcare to GovStack specifications), and provides the workflow automation backbone that connects critical systems across ministries and service delivery channels. Get in touch with Jack if you want to meet us there!

DPGA Annual Members Meeting

November 24-26 | Brasília, Brazil

Later in the month, we're heading to Brazil for the Digital Public Goods Alliance Annual Members Meeting. As an active member of the DPGA community, we're committed to advancing the open source ecosystem that supports sustainable development goals. This gathering offers direct engagement with fellow DPG stewards, funders, and organizations building with Digital Public Goods to create more equitable access to essential services. Get in touch with Taylor if you want to meet us there!

December: Closing the Year in Nairobi

Global Digital Health Forum

December 3-5 | Nairobi, Kenya

We're closing out 2025 at the Global Digital Health Forum in Nairobi, a major gathering for the digital health community in Africa. This forum provides an opportunity to reflect on the year's progress in health system strengthening, share learnings from implementations across the continent, and set the agenda for continued innovation in 2026. Get in touch with Derek if you want to meet us there!

Why These Events Matter

This Q4 lineup reflects our strategic priorities for 2025 and beyond. You'll notice a strong emphasis on three key areas:

  • Government and DPI: Events like the Global DPI Summit and the DPGA meeting align with our focus on supporting government partners who are building national digital infrastructure. As countries invest in DPI, they need reliable, open source tools that enable data exchange across systems without creating vendor lock-in.
  • Healthcare and Digital Health: From the Africa Health Tech Summit to GDHF, we're maintaining our strong presence in the digital health space where OpenFn has enabled critical integrations for immunization programs, case management systems, supply chain logistics, and more.
  • Mobile Technology and Financial Inclusion: MWC Kigali highlights the intersection of mobile technology, financial services, and government service delivery, where OpenFn's ability to connect mobile money platforms with government systems enables efficient, transparent payment processes.
